Nationally developed audit tools
The Infection Prevention Society (IPS) has developed a range of audit tools. They include: tools for specific care settings eg, nursing and residential homes, learning disability care homes and day centres, and hydrotherapy pools; and tools for specific practice eg, standard precautions, isolation precautions, aseptic technique and a suite of hand hygiene tools.
Some audit tools can be accessed free of charge, but membership of the Infection Prevention Society (IPS) is needed to access all tools.
