Job description:

At Glebe House (Charnwood) LTD, we have been supporting individuals for over 40 years. Our services span across Leicestershire, offering a wide range of flexible support options designed to enhance the lives of both the people we support and their families. We provide services such as Community Life Choices, Overnight short breaks, and Saturday/Play schemes for Children. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Children and Young People Coordinator to lead and support the delivery of high-quality services for children and young people at Glebe House.

Main duties:

Lead, motivate, and support staff teams to deliver engaging, inclusive services. Oversee safeguarding, welfare, and wellbeing practices. Manage referrals, client lists, and care plans to ensure effective service delivery. Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers, promoting professional growth. Maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and record keeping. Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and external stakeholders. Support service development, evaluation, and continuous improvement. Understanding of OFSTED legislations and guidelines, with experience of Voice of the Child and Every Child Matters. Opportunity to complete Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification if required.

Experience and qualifications:

2 years driving - essential 2 years working with Learning Disabilities - essential Level 3 or equivalent in Childcare - essential

Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for staff, parents, and the community. Highly organised, with strong administrative and problem-solving abilities. Passionate about children’s development, welfare, and childrens recreational activities.

Terms and conditions:

The role is subject to a probationary period of six months with a formal review will be conducted after three months to assess progress, suitability, and development needs.
