Job description:
To work as a key-worker and as part of the nursery team under the direction of the manager/deputy to provide safe, high quality education and care for babies and young children. To include the planning of the EYFS curriculum the monitoring and reviews of provision, this includes providing a safe, caring environment to enable the emotional, social and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities.
Main duties:
To be a play partner for babies and young children through ensuring that children's needs and interests are met through the provision of a safe enabling environment both outdoors and indoors which supports and extends their development in all areas.
Experience and qualifications:
Level 3 or equivalent Experience of working with babies and young children Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding A sound knowledge of the EYFS Ability to communicate well with adults and children Good organisational skills Computer literate
Personal qualities:
You must have a warm, smiling face that makes every child feel special and loved. A high level of multitasking is essential. If something would normally take 5 minutes to achieve, you must be comfortable with it taking 15 minutes or longer. You must be able to distribute warm hugs as required.
Terms and conditions:
The position is term-time only, with a probationary period and is subject to a DBS clearance and 2 reference checks. Hours will be 9am to 2pm, 2 days a week.
