Job description:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate practitioner who can share our aims and ethos. You will be dynamic, can work as part of a team, have a strong, passionate work ethic with the desire to learn on the job. You will be able to use your initiative and time manage your day effectively to assist in the smooth running of our Playgroup with a desire to complete ongoing continuing professional development. Main duties:
To ensure all aspects of Belton Playgroup policies are followed. To work closely with the team and the management to provide a fun and exciting environment for young children. To set up exciting activities daily following children's interests. To support children aged from 18 months to 10 years in their learning and development and really get to know the children and families. To help with fundraisng activities and events. To be part of the wider community.
Experience and qualifications:
A relevant under eights level 3 qualification e.g NNEB, NVQ level 2 or 3 Safeguarding training (or basic safeguarding and willingness to advance) Paediatric First Aid Basic Food Hygiene
Personal qualities:
Commitment to Inclusion practices and procedures Effective communication skills Commitment to young children and families and an awareness of issues facing working parents An understanding of good quality childcare Friendly, flexible approach Good mental and physical health
Terms and conditions:
This position is subject to a clear DBS and 2 references. 3 month probation period
