Job description:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our team at St. George’s Nursery. This role involves providing high-quality care and early education for children, supporting their development in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You will play a key role in delivering engaging activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring each child’s individual needs are met and their progress is supported. Working closely with colleagues, parents, and carers, you will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive setting where children can thrive. Main duties:
Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework Support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues Observe, assess, and record children’s progress Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment at all times Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies Promote positive behaviour and inclusion Contribute to team meetings and continuous improvement
Experience and qualifications:
Qualifications (Essential) • Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent) • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection requirements • Experience working with children aged 0–5 years in a nursery or childcare setting • Experience supporting children’s learning

Terms and conditions:
Full-time/part-time positions available. Competitive salary dependent on qualifications and experience. Shifts worked on a rota basis between nursery opening hours. Ongoing training and development provided.
