Main duties:

Responsibilities: The care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs. Working with the Early Years Practitioners on planning and preparation of activities, to meet children’s individual needs, liaising with parents and negotiating working targets ensuring effective communication within the nursery. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times. Provide engaging and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development Assist with the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework Observe and support children’s development, update the EyLog system and children’s learning journals with accuracy and relevance, and seek guidance from colleagues or Room Leader if in doubt Take part in delivering the highest standards of care throughout the nursery.

Experience and qualifications:

Level 3 qualification

Personal qualities:

Passion and commitment for working in childcare Ability to work shifts between 7.00-6.30pm Monday to Friday working 40 hours per week Commitment to continual development Have an understanding of the EYFS
