Job description:
Based in the North West Leicestershire countryside, we are motivated by The Curiosity Approach, which will complement the Early Years Foundation Stage, offering a high level of education for every child. The successful applicant must be able to work as part of a strong staff team, be supportive and enthusiastic and eager to get involved. We are a child led, free-flow nursery with lots of interaction with the outdoor surroundings, based in a beautiful wooden lodge on an alpaca park farm setting.
Main duties:
To ensure the well-being, health, safety and welfare of children in line with our “keeping everyone safe” policies and procedures. Plan and coordinate a range of rich learning opportunities that support the development of children’s numeracy and literacy skills, whilst also incorporating “in-the-moment-planning"
Experience and qualifications:
Hold an NVQ level 2 or 3 in childcare and have experience working with children aged 0-5 years old. A good standard of numeracy and literacy – GCSE English and Maths at grade C or equivalent Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation stage and safeguarding practices
Personal qualities:
