Job description:
Quorn Nursery School is a warm, inclusive and friendly setting, who are looking for a qualified individual or someone who has an interest in working in childcare. We are looking for someone who: -Has knowledge of the EYFS (Preferred but not essential). -Has a good sense of humour and a warm heart! The job is all about learning through play so having fun is part of the job! -We promote and encourage further training for your own professional development. -Succesful candidate will require a clear DBS and references. We have a small team who work closely together, we often arrange staff outings to fun places. We look forward to hearing from you! Main duties:
Your day to day duties would include: -Providing high-quality care and education to the children in the setting. - Creating a safe and nurturing enviroment for the children to learn through play. - Develop and implement age appropriate activities to support children's development. -Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding the children's development. -Ensure the well-being and happiness of all children in our care. -Meal times at preschool are an occasion where staff and children come together to enjoy social chatter and interactions. -Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness always. -Provide an inclusive, high-quality environment that caters to the needs of all children, regardless of disabilities, family backgrounds, or medical history. -We have a duty of care to safeguard the child with in our setting and their families, this would be part of your daily responsibilities and reporting to the designated safeguarding lead.
Experience and qualifications:
A recognised childcare qualification is preferred or support will be given to gain this. Paediatric first aid certificate (preferred but not essential) knowledge of safeguarding children (preferred but not essential) A desire to learn and further your own CPD through training and development.
Personal qualities:
A keen fun, enthusiastic individual who is looking to make a difference in young children's early education and care. Must have a good work ethic and work well as a team member but also be able to use their initiative.
