Job description:
We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Holiday Club Leader to oversee and lead our holiday club for children aged 3-11 years. As the leader, you will be responsible for organising and leading a range of engaging, fun, and age-appropriate activities while ensuring the children’s safety, well-being, and enjoyment throughout their time with us. This role will require a strong commitment to providing high-quality care, upholding health and safety standards, and prioritising safeguarding.
Main duties:
Planning and organising fun and engaging activities for 3-11 year olds Plan and prepare healthy snacks Supervision of a staff team to ensure health and safety and safeguarding procedures are followed. Be contact for safeguarding concerns With staff team set up session at the beginning of the day and pack away and clean at the end of the day.
Experience and qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience working in childcare Desirable to have a relevant qualification in Childcare/ Playwork or Education A sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Personal qualities:
Fun, engaging and approachable Ability to work as part of an experienced team but also on their own initiative. Able to communicate effectively with parents Adaptable to meet the needs of children at different ages and stages
Terms and conditions:
A temporary role to support the holiday club which runs outside of the settings normal working hours which runs term time only. The role will be for two weeks from 4th August -15th August, will require some additional sessions prior to the holiday club for induction and induction.
