Disgustarous Romans at Bosworth Battlefield

On the 15th July at Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre, in the glorious sunshine, four of our young people spending the afternoon learning about Roman Britain.

Our guide was Richard who dressed the young people as Roman soldiers and taught them to march like Roman soldiers. Richard also taught them Latin words for march, charge and throw. The children made Roman chest plates out of paper in the classroom and foster carers and staff all joined in. The young people were also allowed to examine Roman artefacts such as pottery, mosaic flooring and clay objects. A great afternoon out which the children really enjoyed.
