Virtual School Conference 2020

Two high profile inspirational keynote speakers will be addressing the Leicestershire Virtual School conference on Thursday 27th February 2020 at the King Power Stadium, Leicester.

Jaz Ampaw-Farr and Dave Whitaker will address issues around the impact of school policies and practice on vulnerable children and suggest ways of working that benefit all children. The afternoon will feature the ‘voice’ of young people and their experiences of inclusive practice at school. Our speakers will reflect on the benefits of attachment and trauma-informed practice and how school ethos impacts on pupils and their mental health and emotional well-being.

This conference targets both mainstream and special school leadership with a view to equipping them to meet the challenges of the recent Child in Need and Timpson Exclusions reviews and the Centre for Mental Health briefing on ‘Trauma, challenging behaviour and restrictive interventions in schools'.
