  • Support for Carers 

    Like you, your child may be finding the current situation unsettling. Children in care may be missing key adults and friends at school and they might also be struggling without their normal daily routines. On top of all this, they may be feeling anxious about corona virus and the restrictions on our daily lives.
  • A message from the Leicestershire Virtual School 

    The government has asked parents to keep children at home, wherever possible, and for schools to remain open only for those children who absolutely need to attend.

    In conversations with the National Association of Virtual School Heads, the DfE have clarified that there is no expectation that all looked after children will attend school during the partial closure of schools.

    The Virtual School are excited to announce that we have now received our young people’s Expressive Arts ASDAN certificates and Arts Award.
  • Maths Inspiration Show and Science Museum, Birmingham 

    Six pupils had a great day at the Maths Inspiration show at Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham, followed by a visit to the Birmingham Think Tank Science Museum.

    The final 2019 event in a series organised for the Virtual School by the Museums and Heritage Service took place on Saturday 2nd November at Loughborough Museum.
